CONSERVATION INTERNATIONAL
Conservation International’s mission is to conserve our global biodiversity-and to demonstrate that human societies are able to live harmoniously with Nature. We created a campaign educating the human species, about the massive burning and slashing of global forests and the effects deforestation has on the Planet’s ecosystems, endangering much of the Earth’s plant and wildlife species as well as causing irreversible global climate change. Our goal, was to inform that even though these forests aren’t seen from our backyard, we feel the effects here at home. We call the program “Lost There, Felt Here.” We started with a symbol: A one acre square that represents every acre of forest removed from the planet. The campaign included a powerful PSA representing the pain the loss of a square acre can feel like, and a web site asking humans to help save an acre of forest. The graphics even extended into eco-friendly apparel.
